Bikes/E-Bikes/Scooters

Electric Scooters:
  1. May only be operated by persons 16 years old or above.
  2. Operators 16-17 years of age MUST wear a helmet.
  3. May not be operated at a speed greater than 15 MPH
  4. May NOT carry more than one person.
  5. May NOT be operated on a sidewalk.
  6. Must use Bicycle Lane (if present) or right shoulder of roadway.
  7. When multiple scooters are being operated in a group, they MUST be single file.
  8. Must have white forward light & red rear light when operated 1/2 after sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise.
  9. Must have a functioning brake.
  10. Must be operated with the flow of traffic (not against).
  11. Must yield to pedestrians and stop prior to entering a roadway.
  12. MUST obey ALL Vehicle & Traffic Laws applicable to motor vehicles & bicycles.

Electric Bicycles: (Note-Must have pedals to be considered an Electric Bicycle)
  1. May only be operated by persons 16 years old or above.
  2. May not be operated above 20 MPH
  3. May NOT be operated on a sidewalk.
  4. When operated in a group, they MUST ride single file.
  5. Must have wheel reflectors, white forward light & red rear light when operated 1/2 after sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise.
  6. Must have a functioning brake.
  7. Must be operated with the flow of traffic (not against).
  8. Must yield to pedestrians and stop prior to entering a roadway.
  9. MUST obey ALL Vehicle & Traffic Laws applicable to motor vehicles & bicycles.
