On Sunday 9/22, the Village & Town joined to celebrate our Sesquicentennial (150) & Bicentennial (200) milestones. The event was well attended by community members and local political leaders. Proclamations from U.S. Rep. Nick Langworthy, State Sen. George Borrello and Assemblyman Joseph Giglio were read.
A time capsule was presented by Deputy Village Clerk Sage Blatner. Inside the capsule is a Lucky Duck from the Village Police Department's scavenger hunt and a letter. The letter sends future community members and elected officials on a scavenger hunt to find the actual location of "important" items we left behind for them. The capsule is to be opened in 25 years.
