THE Events COMMITTEE PROVIDES LOW TO NO COST FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

2024 Trunk or Treat

Dress the kiddos in their Halloween Costumes and come join us Sunday, October 27th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Park Square right in the heart of Franklinville, NY for our 5th Annual Trunk or Treat- sponsored by the Village Events Committee!

This is a FREE event and children of all ages are welcome! Dress up in costume and bring a bag or Halloween bucket to collect your candy and goodies while trunk or treating! There will also be children's activities, juice and donuts and more! This event will take place rain or shine (severe weather may require postponing or cancellation of the event.)

Candy donation boxes will soon be placed around local businesses in the Village of Franklinville where we will be accepting donations of unopened bags of individually wrapped candy to use for the event. Thank you in advance for your generosity with any donations.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for best trunks which will be voted on by the children this year AT the event.
Children are only permitted to trunk or treat through the vehicles ONE time. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. IMPORTANT- This will be a ONE-WAY event only. The starting point will be across from Community Bank in Park Square. There will be other activities they can participate in after they go trunk or treating.
Interested in setting up a trunk? We would love to have you! Any individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and groups are more than welcome (and encouraged) to set up a trunk! There is no fee to participate with a trunk- we just ask that you supply at least one large bulk bag of candy or goodies to hand out at your trunk!

All vehicles must be attended by a responsible individual at all times.
Feel free to go all out with your decorations or keep it simple! However- this is a child friendly event for all ages so no blood, guts/gore, and/or weapons will be permitted. We encourage you to dress up to hand out candy at your trunk!

All vehicles must be parked and in place absolutely no later than 10:30 am and will not be permitted to leave until 1:00 pm due to the safety of all guests. Trunk or treaters will NOT be able to start until right at 11:00 am and all decorations must be in place and you must be ready to begin by then.
