Trunk or Treat 2025 – “A Christmas Story” Edition!
The Village of Franklinville Police Department had an amazing time at this year’s Trunk or Treat! Chief Cintron and Sgt. Heineman handed out Halloween Safety Kits and plenty of candy to hundreds of trick-or-treaters who stopped by our “A Christmas Story” themed trunk! We’re excited to share that we placed in the Top 3! It was a beautiful day filled with fun, creative costumes, laughter, and community spirit. A huge shoutout to the Village of Franklinville Events Committee for organizing such a fantastic and successful event, and an even bigger thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so special! Your support and smiles truly make these community events what they are. We’re already looking forward to next year! The Franklinville Police Department would like to congratulate the winners of this year’s Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt!

Thank you to all who participated, we couldn’t have asked for a better community turnout. Congratulations again to our winners! Yesterday, August 18th, the Village of Franklinville Police Department was proud to join the Blount Library for the annual Bike Rodeo at Franklinville Elementary School! From 10 AM – 12 PM, kids had the chance to practice bicycle safety, ride through fun courses, and learn important skills to keep them safe on the road.
A huge thank-you goes out to Jessie Frank of the Blount Library for organizing this wonderful event, and to all our community partners who helped make it such a success: Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office SRO Miller – providing ID cards for children Cattaraugus County Department of Health – sharing health and safety resources Community Bank – supporting local families We’re also proud to share that Chief Cintron and SRO Sgt. The Franklinville Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of Patrolman Heineman to the rank of Sergeant! Sgt.
