Park Square Historic District Master Plan Over the last 3 years, many of you have participated in meetings and surveys to give your opinion as we took the first steps to address the heart of our community. The purpose of this communication is to share updates on this project and ask for your help as we prepare to take the next step in making this vision a reality. Now that we have a complete design plan, a NYSDOT TAP grant application is being drafted to help fund construction. Receiving this grant would be a major step forward in improving this area making it safe and accessible for pedestrians and bicyclists. Interested in joining us to support this great project? We need your help!!! The most important determining factor in our project being chosen for funding is the number of letters of support that we are able to generate and have submitted! Our letters of support need to demonstrate two things to improve our chances of being selected and funded: 1 Public Benefit 2.Community Support A sample letter of support is linked below. We encourage you to write your own or modify the sample as you see fit. Feel free to share what this space means to you and why you believe it is important that the Village of Franklinville receives this grant. Please submit your letter of support no later than Monday March 9th, 2026. Letters can be dropped off to the Village of Franklinville at 19 Pennsylvania Ave Franklinville, NY 14737 or emailed to Ashley Schumaker ([email protected]).
