TREE COMMISSION

Tree Commission Mission Statement

The Franklinville Tree Commission is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of our village through responsible tree management, community education, and sustainable planting initiatives. As a proud Tree City USA community for over 40+ years, we strive to protect and maintain our urban tree canopy, ensuring a greener and healthier environment for future generations. Our mission is to:
  • Maintain our Tree City USA status through best forestry practices.
  • Educate residents on the environmental, social, and economic benefits of trees and plants.
  • Encourage new tree plantings to enhance public and private landscapes.
  • Sustain and care for existing street trees through responsible stewardship.
  • Develop and implement long-term forestry plans that support a thriving tree canopy.
Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of the month at 6PM
